Aboriginal ceremonies. Aboriginal ceremonies reflect the diversity and complexity of the cultural and spiritual practices that exist within Aboriginal communities across Australia. ... By Dreaming, we mean the spiritual, cultural and religious beliefs, practices and lore of Aboriginal Australians.

Tjunkiya was born ca. 1927 in the Pintupi country northwest of Walangurru in the Northern Territory of Australia. Later in life she came with her family to Haasts Bluff and then moved to Papunya. In about 1994, she took part in some painting workshops known as Women's Dreaming Project. The art of Tjunkiya was exhibited in a number of Galleries and Art Museums. However she never became as widely known as her daughter Mitjili Napurrula, who also painted for us and sadly died in 2019.
