Born: c.1931

Dora Mungkirna was a respected senior law woman whose life journey spans from the Tanami Desert to various stations and communities across the region. Her experiences included working at Gordon Downs, raising her daughter Margaret, moving between stations for ceremonial purposes, and contributing to the mission at Lajamanu and Balgo. 

Dora was renowned for her vibrant paintings that reflect bush foods and dreaming stories, as well as her continued involvement in traditional practices and a notable sand painting project in Perth.

Dora Mungkirna was exhibited mostly in Australia but also in Finland around 2011.
