Minnie Pwerle (c. 1910–2006) was a highly respected elder from the Utopia region and a significant contributor to the Aboriginal art movement. Her work is distinguished by its originality and spiritual depth, offering meaningful insight into the cultural traditions of her community. This artwork, exemplifies her refined use of colour and confident brushwork, reflecting both her artistic mastery and enduring legacy. During a 2005 visit to our studio, Minnie, accompanied by her daughter Barbara Weir, created this artwork, catalogued as No. 1674, acrylic on linen, 120 x 120 cm.
