Muna was born in Tjiwuru near Ernabella in 1964. Muna started painting at Tjurma Homelands Art and Craft Centre before coming to work at Tjala Arts. She developed her own vibrant, distinctive style, telling the story of her Country and its important cultural stories.

In her paintings Muna depicts her country. The different colours and designs in her works represent variations in the landscape.
