In 1985, Gabriella won the prestigious Alice Springs Art Award while still a student at Yirara College, at the age of 16. Her artwork portrays stories from the Mt Allan area, including Seven Sisters, Bush Tucker, Serpent and Goanna Dreamings. Combining various dotting techniques and bold, vivid colours, her highly decorative pieces are regarded as collectible.
Gabriella has exhibited extensively across Australia, New York, London, Paris, and numerous other international cities. Recognized as one of the most culturally significant artists of her generation, her works are included in the permanent collection of the National Gallery of Australia.
A notable milestone occurred in 2008 when Gabriella was invited to create a 20-metre mural for the Royal Chelsea Flower Show in London. Subsequently, one of her paintings was presented to HRH Queen Elizabeth II and has been incorporated into the Royal Collection.
Gabriella is a highly gifted artist and one of the most esteemed contemporary Aboriginal female painters globally.
